Terms and Conditions for Makers & Merchants Markets, ran by TGTT Events
Stall Site Allocation and Position
1. The Operator is solely responsible for allocating and positioning pitch sites.
2. If you have a specific request for a position change, you must contact the Operator at least 7 days before the event. We will do our best to accommodate requests; however, specific placement cannot be guaranteed as it depends on the venue layout and other traders.
3. Stallholders are not allowed to change their pitch position without prior consultation and approval from the Operator.
Setting Up, Closing Down, Loading, and Unloading
1. Stallholders must strictly adhere to the specified times and guidelines provided for each event for setting up, closing down, loading, and unloading.
2. Late arrivals may be denied entry to set up if the Operator determines that the stall will not be ready by the event's opening time.
3. Before leaving your stall site, stallholders must:
o Remove all rubbish.
o Ensure the stall site is left in the same condition as it was before setup.
4. Stallholders are responsible for removing and disposing of their own waste.
5. Non-compliance with these conditions may result in:
o Refusal of participation in future events.
o Immediate removal from the event if behaviour is deemed inappropriate or any agreed terms and conditions are violated.
Photography and Filming
1. Photography and videography will occur at all Makers & Merchants Markets, ran by TGTT Events, for promotional and archival purposes. These may include photos/videos of stalls and items for sale, which may appear on:
o Our website.
o Social media platforms.
o Promotional materials (e.g., brochures, magazines, and advertisements).
2. By participating, you acknowledge and agree to the following:
o Makers & Merchants Markets, ran by TGTT Events, has the right to use any photographs or videos taken during events without requiring additional written permission at any time after an event.
o These images/videos may appear in various media, including online and print formats.
3. If you do not wish to be photographed or filmed, please:
o Inform the event photographer and organisers directly.
o Contact us at [hello@makersandmerchantsmarketc.co.uk] in advance with a written request, including a photo for identification purposes (held in confidence).
4. By failing to notify us in writing or participating in the event, you release and hold Makers & Merchants Markets, ran by TGTT Events, harmless from any claims regarding the use of your likeness or images.
Stallholder and Visitor Disclaimer Makers & Merchants Markets, ran by TGTT Events, is committed to creating a safe and enjoyable environment. However, we remind all participants that:
1. Responsibility for Belongings:
o Stallholders and visitors are solely responsible for their belongings, merchandise, and personal items within the venue.
o The Market is not liable for lost, stolen, or damaged items.
2. Overnight Storage:
o The Market does not offer overnight storage or security for items left unattended. Leaving items overnight is done at the owner’s risk.
3. Security Measures:
o While we strive to maintain a safe environment, Stallholders and visitors are encouraged to take precautions to secure their belongings.
o Please report suspicious activity to Market staff or security personnel immediately.
4. Insurance:
o Stallholders should obtain their own insurance to cover merchandise, including potential loss or damage.
Liability and Event Participation
1. Participation at Own Risk:
o All participants (Stallholders, visitors, volunteers, and organisers) attend the event at their own risk. The Market is not liable for accidents, injuries, or losses incurred during the event.
2. Safety Precautions:
o While the Market takes measures to ensure safety, individuals must exercise caution, such as:
§ Avoiding tripping hazards.
§ Securing personal belongings.
§ Following traffic rules in parking areas.
3. Merchandise Quality:
o Stallholders are solely responsible for the quality and safety of the items they sell. The Market does not endorse or guarantee the quality or authenticity of any merchandise.
4. Event Cancellation:
o The Market reserves the right to cancel or reschedule events/venue due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., inclement weather, natural disasters). Participants will be notified as soon as possible.
5. Refund Policy:
o Stallholder fee refund policies may vary by event. Stallholders should review the specific refund terms provided for their booking.
o Cancellations will be subject to a £10 admin charge for any cancellation, which will be debited from the amount refunded. By booking, you agree to give at least 14 days’ notice for stall cancellation and understand that any cancellation less than 14 days prior to the event will result in a 50% charge of the stall cost. Any cancellations within 7 days of the event will result in full stall charge with no refund due. Bookings are non-transferable.
6. Release of Liability:
o By attending, participants release Makers & Merchants Markets, ran by TGTT Events, its organisers, and affiliates from liability for injuries, accidents, or losses occurring during the event.
7. Rule Compliance:
o Participants must act responsibly and adhere to event guidelines and venue rules.
8. Terms Modifications:
o The Market reserves the right to modify or update terms and conditions at any time.
Additional Disclaimers
1. Makers & Merchants Markets, ran by TGTT Events, cannot be held liable for goods left overnight or any loss, theft, or damage to items during the event.
2. Any non-affiliated person or organisation may not use, copy, or modify Makers & Merchants Markets, ran by TGTT Events' photographs, videos, or materials without prior written permission from an authorised representative.
